JOB OPPORTUNITY
Looking for a talented Baker or Pastry Chef with experience working in a commercial kitchen.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and understanding of vegan foods.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Preparing, portioning and packaging goods as directed
-
Adheres to standardized recipes and specifications
-
Ensure strict compliance to food hygiene
-
Operate kitchen equipment with safety in mind at all times
-
Follows station opening and closing procedures
-
Must be dedicated to exceptional external and internal customer service
EDUCATION
-
Certified Red Seal preferred, but a combination of education and work-related experience will be considered
-
Minimum of 3 years culinary experience as a baker
-
Advanced Food Safe certification, WHMIS
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to operate production equipment

Possess emotional maturity, with the ability to handle stress and demonstrates professionalism

Consistently demonstrate a positive “can-do” attitude with all employees and facility guests

Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging and changing environment
-
Must possess strong organizational, time management, and record keeping skills
-
Awareness and understanding of costing dishes will be considered an asset
-
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays
